Eaton introduces HERNIS TM CCTV quick-connect solution

Eaton is pleased to announce the introduction of our quick-connect range for CCTV systems in hazardous and harsh industrial environments. Our quick-connect/disconnect solution has been designed for use in oil and gas fields and industrial complexes both onshore and offshore and used with both explosion proof and safe area CCTV cameras. The CCTV quick-connect provides a high integrity, robust, safe and standardised connection solution for CCTV systems allowing rapid and reliable connection and disconnection using a pre-wired cable tail and socket fitted to the CCTV camera station. This is in turn connected to the prewired field cable fitted with a matching plug allowing for quick CCTV system installation and decommissioning. This is available for both land and offshore drill rigs, optimising rig availability. Our connectors have met the most rigorous standards for a wide range of global certifications and approvals, including Ex certification with ATEX and IECEx directives. They are also UL (Underwriters Laboratories) 1977 recognized, meet Canadian Electrical Code (CSA) with C22.2 No. 182.3 and are Ingress Protection 66 and 68 rated.
